Before heading to the course

In Play, start preparing a round and choose your course. If it is not already downloaded, open All golf clubs, search by name or location, and choose Download and select. Check that the tees and holes are available before leaving your internet connection.

Can each player use a different tee?

Adding players requires Premium or the eligible first-round gift. Yes. Choose a tee for each player when preparing the round. The scorecard uses the distances, pars and stroke indexes for those choices. Detailed shot tracking and Apple Watch controls currently follow the first player in the round. The first player starts with the name confirmed in your account. You can change that name for the round without changing the account name.

GPS is waiting or unavailable

Open the app’s iOS settings and allow location while using Caddiora, with Precise Location enabled. Go outdoors and wait for the accuracy indicator to improve. If the course has no GPS coordinates, distances cannot be displayed until suitable positions are available or you record them using personal mapping.

How do I record shots and manage my bag?

REC requires Premium or the eligible first-round gift. In a new round, stand at your ball before playing, open REC, choose the club and lie type, then tap Save shot. The next shot’s starting position measures the previous shot’s distance; no distance is invented without a known endpoint. Existing rounds keep their original workflow and instructions. Manage my bag lets you choose which clubs appear. You can edit or delete a recorded shot; check the total score afterward, as deleting a shot does not automatically lower it.

The watch has no round or is waiting to sync

Apple Watch distances, score entry and putts are free. Detailed shots and other Premium game features require Premium or the eligible first-round gift. Keep the iPhone and paired Watch nearby, check their connection and open Caddiora on both devices. Start or resume the correct round on the iPhone. Wait for the sync status to update before entering the same action again. Before finishing and backing up the round, check that the latest Watch shots and scores have reached the iPhone. The Watch’s location permission is separate from the iPhone’s. To avoid restarting GPS each time you return to the app, enable “Keep GPS active” under Distances or More. Allow precise location. Stop background tracking if you take a break. An unfinished round or reconnection does not automatically enable this mode; after six hours or an app restart, enable it again if needed.

Correct a score or finish a round

Open the scorecard, select the hole and player, then adjust the score or statistics. If you record detailed shots, compare their count with the total score, including penalties. You can finish with missing scores; unscored holes remain unfilled. Completed rounds can still be reviewed and edited in History.

How do I back up my rounds online?

New cloud uploads require Premium. Restoring or deleting existing backups remains free. The gifted first round is never uploaded, even after subscribing. In Settings, enable Automatic backup for this account on this iPhone, or use Back up on a completed round. You can also choose Back up completed history. The copy includes players, scores, entered statistics, shots, clubs used and recorded positions, along with the round’s holes and tees. Wait for the Backed up status: a pending request is not yet a confirmed backup.

A backup is still waiting

New cloud uploads require Premium. Restoring or deleting existing backups remains free. The gifted first round is never uploaded, even after subscribing. Check that the round is completed, you are signed in to the right account and Internet is available. Reopen Caddiora and allow the upload to finish. Waiting to back up and Awaiting online confirmation do not yet mean Backed up. If it fails, use Back up to retry. If the app reports a different version, choose which one to keep. Keep the app and the local copy until backup is confirmed.

Finding a backed-up round

Restoring existing online backups does not require Premium. The gifted first round has no cloud copy. Open Settings → Backed-up rounds using the same Apple account used for the backup. Tap Refresh, then Show more rounds if your round is older. Restore round retrieves a complete copy on this iPhone; Restore missing rounds also covers later pages. If a restore fails, refresh the list and check for app updates. A round never confirmed online must be recovered from the device that still holds it.

Choosing between two versions

Compare your scores and the changes made on your devices. Keep this device’s version uploads that version; Keep the online version replaces the local round with the available copy. There is no automatic merging. If the online backup was deleted, keeping the online version respects the deletion without removing the local round. Wait for the operation to finish before editing the same round on another device.

Signing out or deleting your account

Before signing out, check for unconfirmed backups. Signing out keeps those rounds on this iPhone for your next sign-in to the same account; it does not transfer them to another account. To delete the account, use the dedicated action in Settings and confirm your identity with Apple. If the operation fails, sign in to the same account again and retry. Account deletion concerns your private data and preserves shared courses and maps.

A course will not download

Check the internet connection and try again later. The free plan allows 3 distinct course downloads over the lifetime of the account; deleting a course or reinstalling the app does not reset this allowance. A course already used within those three can be downloaded again. Premium allows additional courses. Separately, up to 3 new courses can be requested in a rolling 24-hour period; shared-library courses are exempt only from this technical quota. Courses already on the iPhone remain usable. Avoid deleting the app to resolve a download issue: local rounds could be lost.

How many downloaded courses can I keep?

The limit of 50 is a local cache limit. Without Premium, the separate lifetime allowance remains 3 distinct courses; shared-library downloads do not bypass it. Caddiora keeps your 50 most recently downloaded courses. Separately, each account can request up to 3 new courses in a rolling 24-hour period; downloads from the shared library do not use this allowance. The course list shows your remaining balance and next available slot. Downloading another course removes the oldest download that is not used by an unfinished round. Protected courses count toward the limit of 50. Playing a course does not change this order. Your saved rounds, scores, shots and personal GPS points are preserved. You can download a removed course again from the worldwide catalogue when you have an internet connection.

Can I play without an internet connection?

Once signed in, you can keep scores and view rounds already on the iPhone without Internet. A backup requested offline waits for the network to return; reopen Caddiora to allow it to resume and check for the Backed up status. The app does not continuously upload while closed. Signing in, restoring rounds, deleting the account, downloading new courses and satellite imagery require Internet.

How do I change the language or distance units?

Caddiora supports 20 languages. In Caddiora on your iPhone, open Settings > Language to make your choice; your Apple Watch uses the same language. Before you make a choice, the app uses your iOS language preferences. In Settings > Distance unit, choose Yards or Meters. The choice is saved on this iPhone and sent to your Apple Watch. Existing rounds and saved filters remain valid. Distances to nearby courses remain in kilometers.

If the problem continues

Close and reopen Caddiora, then check for an update. Before changing devices or uninstalling, verify online confirmation for rounds that can be backed up. New uploads require Premium. The gifted first round and any round without a confirmed backup may be lost with local data; the gift is never backed up online, even after subscribing. Contact support with the course, hole and message shown, without other players’ private information.

What is free, and what requires Premium?

Free: solo scorecards, GPS distances, complete local history and Apple Watch distances, scores and putts. Downloads are limited to 3 distinct courses over the lifetime of the account. Premium adds more course downloads, multiplayer, REC shot recording, statistical analysis, the hole Heat Map, assisted hole changes and new cloud backups.

Can I start another round while one is unfinished?

Finish the round in progress before starting another, including with Premium. Existing rounds are not automatically deleted or completed. Finished scorecards remain editable in the free history.

What is the difference between the gifted round and a trial?

Eligible new players receive one Premium game round. It stays only on this device, with its statistics free afterward. It is never backed up online, even after subscribing. If eligible, try 7 days with the six-month plan or 14 days with the annual plan. Apple shows the price and renewal terms before purchase.

How do I measure the final shot?

Open Ball holed for the last recorded shot. Enter its distance to the cup manually, or explicitly capture GPS at the cup and check accuracy before confirming. No shot is added, the score stays unchanged and the round is not ended.

Can the hole change automatically?

Premium or the active gifted round allows assisted hole changes. Choose the mode in Settings. Automatic mode needs suitable GPS fixes while the app is visible, then gives a three-second countdown to stay. It does not enter scores or finish the round.

Is the handicap estimate official?

No. Caddiora provides an estimate from at least three eligible complete 18-hole rounds with verified tee ratings. Nine-hole rounds are not combined. The method and its limits are explained in Statistics; it does not replace an official handicap index.
